Computer Scientists' Research Interests (CSRI) Dataset

Introduction about the CSRI Dataset

Current Version

The current version [May 10th, 2010] of the CSRI dataset contains descriptions of the research interests from all the authors in the DBLP dataset. The research interests are quantitatively evaluated from four perspectives, namely:

In this version, the dataset adopt the e-foaf:interests vocabulary proposed by LarKC WP2, which is an extension of the FOAF vocabulary and provides quantitative description of user interests from various perspectives.

Previous Version(s)

The previous version of the CSRI dataset only contains top 9 retained interests of researchers in the DBLP dataset. It uses the FOAF vocabulary and rdf:seq containers to describe ordered interests but does not contain any quantitative evaluation of the interests. It can be acquired from the following address Download the interest RDF file (updated version: 2010-Jan-17th).

Maintenance of the Dataset

This dataset is released under the LarKC project Work Package 2 and Work Package 4 by International WIC Institute (WICI), and will be updated every 4 month.

Illustrative Examples to use the Dataset

In scientific literature search, vague or incomplete queries can be refined using implicitly or explicitly acquired user interests. These dataset can be used to refine the query from different researchers when they want to search literatures on DBLP.
