Workshop: LarKC applicability in Health Care and Life Sciences Use Cases
Outline for workshop
A one-day interactive workshop together with prospective users to capture needs and expectation on the usage of LarKC. Our plan is to show the potential of LarKC and discuss on how to utilize that in our four case stories.
- Participants:
- 8 prospective users, 8 AZ
- 6 with more technology background; 2 Onto, 1 Sheffield, 1 AZ and 1 Siemens?

10:45 IARC challenges, use case & Demonstration of the first prototype
11:45 How can entity-relation recognition help?
12:00 Lunch
13:00 Panel session - How can LarKC improve our work - discuss scientists problems and opportunities;
- Topic: Lung Cancer, COPD and safety evaluation e.g. annotating literature and usage of wikis as interactions interface.
14:00 Panel session - How can LarKC help to explore and keep track of knowledge - discuss opportunities; Topic: Project (Scientific) memory; navigation, computerized reading, visualization, hypothesize generation.
15:00 Coffee
15:30 Conclusion and wrap-up by all participants
