2009-01-13 Bled meeting
Agenda
- D6.3
- mockup based on tech we know (ontobroker, d2r, ...)
- mockup based on unknown baby larkc
- plugin demand of WP6
- matching on expectation between data providers and experiments
- screen design
- planning next 3 months
Discussion
- dilemma:
(OPTION 1) maximize the opportunity to show what we have in mind to the reviewers, but risk of showing dis-alignment between WP6 and the rest of the project --> mockup based on tech we know
(OPTION 2) maximize the testing of larkc, and probably better impression on reviewers, but big risk of failing! --> mockup based on unknown baby larkc
Kono comment: we are anticipating the "prototype" (D6.4) with the mockup for the review, what is in the contract is the specification --> what can we do with D6.3?
- Emanuele additional option:
- (OPTION 3) D6.3 back to paper report on design but pre-release of M18 prototype (D6.4)
- (timing: running code partial but without server errors by M12, running code by M14)
- partner preferences:
- Siemens: 2
- VUA: 2
- Saltlux: 3, 2, 1
- Cefriel: 2, 3, 1
- WICI: would like to develop something for option 2 with WP6 data
- Zhisheng: if we fail option 2, at least we anticipate problems and have some feedbacks for the project
- DECISION: ask Frank about the risk of "WP6 failure" with option 2
- plugin demand of WP6
what is the reasoning need of our route planner? USER QUESTION: what is the shortest (= quickest) path that brings me from P1 to P2? (where P1 and P2 are nodes, see http://seip.cefriel.it/ama/directory/nodes)
- selecting a subset of the street topology data ("map") of Milano
- what selection component from WP2?
using linktypes (highways, local-road, etc.), see http://seip.cefriel.it/ama/directory/linktypes
- using a reasoner to compute the shortest path
- using a rule-based reasoner, like ontobroker
- alternative: a case-based reasoner (WICI)
- extension: select also subset of external LOD sources (dbpedia, geonames)
NEW USER QUESTION: what is the shortest (= quickest) path that brings me from P1 to a place of type X? (where X is somehow found in dbpedia and othe data, e.g. a Milano monument) --> complex query that may involve a smart decider
- selecting a subset of the street topology data ("map") of Milano
- what can we do with WP3 machine learning plugins?
- basic answer is based on the static data already present in the data (outflowSpeed or Traffic)
further answer based on machine learning results with different data for different time slot --> different estimation showing the differences using statistical data or machine learning predictions
- tomorrow at breakfast: meeting with Yi to discuss his requirements on data (mail of January 10)
tomorrow afternoon (if bad weather
): further discussion between WP6 partners - screen design:
- presented current initial idea
- ACTION ITEM (Irene): adjust wireframes with new story and circulate it on the mailing list for feedbacks
