• Status of D5.3.2 and next steps

  • AP: Inputs from missing partners will be sent the latest tomorrow Wednesday 09.09.2009!!!

    • AP: Vassil to send detailed info on internal data layer architecture (including tree engine, owlim,...) and how the different components interact with the data layer api and with the rest of larkc components. Check with Naso about the email about LORAPIS, etc and include information in the Next steps chapter.

    • AP: Matthias Assel will elaborate the ideas on integration of SOA4All approach with LarKC by Thursday 10.09.2009. AP: Vassil to send feedback on this. It will be incorporated in the architecture document as a preliminary design.

  • AP: Georgina will integrate all inputs and send around the integrated version for final feedback. Probably the deliverable must be delayed some days.

  • AP: Vassil and Luka send their ideas by the end of today (08.09.2009).

  • AP: Georgina will compile all and build up a definition to include in D5.3.2

• LarKC-SOA4ALL workshop - summary of results affecting WP5 and next steps
  • Data Layer - identified the need of a mgmt layer over the Data Layer
    • HLRS (Matthias) has some ideas on how to integrate SOA4ALL approach with LarKC. HLRS will present some slides in Berlin about it.
    • Naso has been discussing with Dieter about the topic. Also about the licensing issue of Ontotext product. He will probably present conclusions in Berlin.
  • Plug-in description ontology (funct and non-funct properties). UIBK will re-work the parameters and make a good ontology out of it.

    • AP: Barry to keep Luka informed, as he is working with the current parameters for reasoning over plug-in descriptions

• Proposed agenda for Berlin

  • Data Layer + SOA4ALL-like approach. HLRS presentation (Georgina. Matthias Assel will prepare some slides). Discussion on how to proceed next. => Session Alignment on Strategic Issues

  • WP5 management of non-functional properties (UIBK) => Session Alignment on Strategic Issues

  • Distribution and remote execution implementation (COMPS,…). HLRS presentation (Alexey) => WP5 parallel session

    • and discussion on data streaming using the new data layer approach => WP5 parallel session

  • Plug-ins state management (Mick) => WP5 parallel session

  • Event handling framework (see wiki documents?) => WP5 parallel session

  • Multiplexers design and next steps for implementation (Luka? Mick?. AP: Luka will contact Mick to check his ideas. Georgina to send Luka info about previous discussions) => WP5 parallel session

    • Note that the design and implementation of the multiplexer (as well as other components in the platform) may be influenced by the re-organization of the architecture due to the distribution and remote execution integration.

  • Sourceforge management (ticketing system, licensing header script,…) and usage of the new development environment => look for a slot in a plenary session to present all partners?

• AOB

  • We will need a WP5 meeting end of the year. Try to collocated with the ?DataLayer - SOA4ALL workshop. Maybe 1 day soa4all workshop and 1 day WP5 meeting. Barry to take it into account when organizing the workshop.
