WP5 Teleconference

• Vassil´s input from WP7a: http://wiki.larkc.eu/LarkcProject/WP7a/M18prototype

  • Type or reasoning foreseen: For M18 WP7a does not consider reasoning beyond OWL-Horst. Explore two different scenarios:
    • Integrated in the storage
    • Independent plug-in
  • What could we have right now from WP7a to be integrated in the Baby LarKC?
    • We could think on two different approaches:
      • Scientific approach

      • "Pragmatic approach": Baby LarKC + ORDI <= This is the interesting one right now from the WP5 viewpoint. Vassil has been discussing with Mick on this in the last weeks. AP: Vassil to finalize the ORDI implementation, probably before the LarKC meeting in Bled (Jan 09), hopefully before end of 2008.

• Status of LarKC prototype, plan M10/12/14 (Jan´09/March´09/May´09)

  • API: V0.2 (Basic API + Anytime)
  • Baby LarKC (UIBK): implementing API V0.2. The aim is to have the ORDI data layer integrated for Bled. Depends on Ontotext´s progress.
  • Cyc Platform: jar files removed!!. Pipeline automatic composition is working, but error found in execution. Luka is currently working on it. It will be working for the Bled meeting.
  • Mock-up for Bled: API + Cyc Decider (implementing API V0.2) + Plugins from Baby LarKC with new data set

• D5.2.1 Rapid Prototype of the LarKC (CycEur)(M10)

  • Short report explaining main components, sketch of architecture, user manual, installation,... To be ready before the Bled meeting

  • AP: Georgina to send skeleton by Friday 12 Dec. CycEur (Luka) and UIBK (Mick) fill in with input specific to the prototype. Reference to D1.2.1, where some info related to the prototype was already included (no repeat text)

• D5.3.1 Requirements Analysis and report on lessons learned during prototyping (CycEur)(M12)

  • Plan timeline in Bled.
  • Start elaborating the document after Bled. Take as a basis the document started by Barry.
  • Version ready for QA: end Feb. 09

• D5.5.2 Validation goals and metrics for the LarKC platform (Onto)(M14)

  • Kick off in Bled.
  • Ontotext is already thinking on the content

• LarKC in ESWC09

  • Two possibilities:
    • request a slot as part of the conference

    • collocate the LarKC workshop with the ESWC, but organized by LarKC <= preferred option. We can have a meeting as long as we need.

  • AP: Frank to take a final decision (or setup a date for that). Check with Michael.

• Wrap up of LarKC Plug-ins

  • No answer so far from WP2 and WP3 regarding WP5 support for wrapping their plug-ins. AP: Frank to give a call to the WPleaders

• Plug-in annotation language

  • Email sent to WP1 requesting timeline for this deliverable. It should be written in close collaboration with WP5
  • WSMO seems to be too heavyweight for LarKC plug-ins description and invocation. UIBK proposes MicroWSMO or WSMOLite. AP: Barry to provide us with the links to the relevant info

• Distributed Architecture

  • AP: HLRS to propose a first draft of the LarKC Distributed Architecture (V0) for the Bled meeting. Consider input regarding WSMO and content in D1.2.1.
